We are proud to share that our Executive Director, Brandy, has been selected as a board member for the MCCA (Minnesota Child Care Association)!
Brandy has been with Creative Kids Academy for over 25 years since 1998, and during her career with CKA, she has worn many different hats – cook, teacher, Director, Area Director, Executive Director, mentor, and many more. She currently lives in Elk River with her husband and two daughters. She has a Master’s in Education from the University of Minnesota and has dedicated her career to working in and improving the early childhood education system in Minnesota.
In the past year, she has had the opportunity to do more advocacy work for childcare. She has hosted several round tables, met with senators and representatives, and testified at the capital. She will also be traveling to Washington D.C. this year to do some advocacy work at the Federal level. She is honored to be selected for the MCCA board and excited about the opportunity to continue her advocacy to improve early education for Minnesota children, families, and staff.
